As each layer of the revision unfolded, our staff reviewed the work and occasionally requested cosmetic changes here or there — however, the Cart was exactly what we needed from the start.

10 years ago, Kim Hill (current CEO), took over a church pantry that became a food bank. Today, it has grown (and expanded services beyond food) into a multi-million-dollar non-profit providing over 40,000 meals to the needy each month.

The CMS (Contact Management System) we upgraded to handle this explosive growth was DonorPerfect, from SofterWare, a robust fundraising software with a synchronized payment processing system.

What it lacked, and we knew this going in, was an external PHP user authentication module (with Registration), that used our own MySQL database and was able to pass data back and forth from the DonorPerfect MS SQL Server database.

And then there was Vincy, of PHPPot.com, an accomplished and highly skilled PHP developer, available for freelance work and with the ability to solve complex problems extremely quickly.

I created a spec and set up an interface using a custom API that allowed her to talk to MySQL and MS SQL Server at the same time. In just a few hours, she had the first phase completed.

Once we move that work over to our Production systems, databases, and domains, it will be time to start phase II. That will include the 4 GL software Xojo that will also talk directly to all the databases, and I look forward to her work with me on the App development for iPhone and Samsung that will be realized from that.

In closing, I am so glad she was available to meet our custom coding needs and I look forward to working with her again.

 I’m an amateur php programmer. I’ve made few websites for my own needs, but I fail with responsive design and objective programming (I am “procedural”).

So I tried to use CMS’s of all kind. But any CMS is a disaster, especially WordPress. Too complex, often fail, slow, difficult to customize … it’s a hell.
